Mortgage Broker Tips for Home Staging
Although we at BobandOrlando.com focus on home mortgage, home refinance, condo conversion loans and so forth, we also think about other ways to service our clients. Not everyone out there is a first time home buyer, and in a lot of cases or clients need a change in the residence. They are either buying a larger home or a smaller home depending on personal circumstances. Selling a home while shopping and buying another can seem strenuous to even some of the most experienced homeowners.
There are many aspects to selling a home, and many realtors in which to choose from. If you’re also in the market for a great realtor, feel free to ask us. We understand your needs are specific and we’ll match you with a realtor that’ll best suit you. An important aspect of selling a home is home staging. Home staging is when you or your realtor prepares a residence for sale. The goal of staging is to make the home more appealing, and sell it faster and for more money.
As we were preparing a list of great home staging tips for your bathroom, we realized that these are also great tips to make your bathroom more appealing – even if you aren’t selling. Consider these great tips for home staging or a great cleaning.
Surface Mold – Not only is this a major red flag to homebuyers but it is also a major red flag for your health. Mix a spray bottle with one part water and one part bleach. Spray it on the wall, and the mold will disappear. Let it dry and then slap on a fresh coat of paint.
Grimy Shower Door – There’s no need to replace it, especially if it works and isn’t cracked. Remove the door from the track and lay it down on the floor, grimy side up of course. Place one part muriatic acid to about 10 parts water. Soak steel wool in the solution and then scrub the door with the steel wool. Reinstall the door.
Tiles vs Paint – Although tile can be beautiful, there is a huge risk of it becoming dated. So, if you have tiled walls that are dated or just not working for the bathroom, consider painting them. Coat the tiles with a high-adhesion primer. If you don’t know what that is, any paint store or any home construction warehouse. Next you’ll brush on a special ceramic epoxy covering. It’s as easy as that.
